Just This Night

~ ~ ~ ~

I feel the weariness of being alone this night.

It isn’t sadness,
but a longing to be part of the other.

I have no idea who the other is,
but I want to belong.

Just a little.

Lynilu, are you ok? Well,I think that's just your feeling from night.

Oh, yes, I'm OK. Sometimes there is a loneliness when one lives alone as I do, but it is just once in a while. I am fine most of the time. :)

The night holds the memories of the past when there was more than just the one

Yes, it certainly does. :)

How did I not know that you have a poetry blog? :-)

Well, now I know and will pop back in here as much as I can!

(I love to write poetry too. It's usually not that great, but it makes me feel good to write it!)

Love this poem, btw.

Well, Cheryl, I don't know!! I think that most of us are guilty of reading posts without paying attention to the sidebar where those are found.

Of course, you're welcome to come back as often as you like.

And thanks. :)

Ahh, but to have and hold thy memories...
having had the bliss and kiss of love and live touch upon us...
and finding sense of self unto self and others...
for it is thy love of life which keeps us alive and young and full of love...
Very nice site by the way.
Nice insights and lovely photography. Kudos.
Regards, and all best wishes for ongoing identity and being.
For that's what it's all about.
Accomplishments, no matter how large or small unto the whole of life and being.

...we are never alone only with thoughts...
count thy blessings all...
you are one of them!
